The warm-up exercises will not be assessed, however they will teach you skills that you need for simulating data. So do them 😺

Assignment

Your final exercises is a 2500 word report for a substantive research question in psychological science.

This week,

1. Write a two-three paragraph introduction to your report. The introduction should do the following

• State your research question;
• Clarify, in plain terms and without jargon, why your research question is important;
• Clarify your research hypothesis or hypotheses;
• Identify the data you will use to address your research question.¹

2. Quantitatively summarise your sample information and indicator variables using methods that you have learned in this class. Your summary should do the following:

• Include at least one summary table;
• Include at least one summary graph;
• Report your data features.

You will be marked on how effectively your summary introduces your research question and clarifies properties of your sample.

To keep the summary streamlined, you may include an appendix.

Summaries should contain a bibliography where relevant.

Please submit your R markdown file as well as a rendered pdf or word document to Blackboard by midnight April 20th.

Please annotate your R markdown file to clarify your approach and any decisions.

Please keep a record of your summary on Github (i.e. push to Github).
